The fuel in the pool has decayed enough to not start a fire. Any radioactive waste from a nuclear power plant would be considered "radioactive waste". This says NOTHING about how high the radioactivity concentration is. No scientific evidence of "Chernobyl heart", only anecdotal.
I really liked the relative risk question, when the host mentions some very improbable things and asks Arnie to comment further. Arnie never really does because the events that led to the meltdown were very improbable things. The financial consequences suck for the Japanese but it was nuclear power that helped the small island become a major economic power.
