It's interesting that one of people against the idea is a professor of nuclear science and engineering at MIT, Ian Hutchinson. Here he is on the website BioLogos, which asserts that evolutionary biology is true, but that god is behind evolution.
Hutchinson asserts that god is not a scientific question, which is an easy and convenient statement to make. And he asserts that there is some other form of knowledge besides that of science. But he doesn't say what it is.
His logic is very poor and he is saddled with the moronic Dinesh D'Souza.
This should be an easy win for those who support the idea that science refutes god. One of those debate team members is Lawrence Krauss, a physics professor at ASU.
Dr. Krauss is also featured at the Health Physics Society's Midyear meeting in January, where he is scheduled to give a talk titled, "Life, the Universe and Nothing . . . A Cosmic Mystery Story”.
I won't be there, but I'm guessing the talk will be similar to this one:
