Argillaceous

Is the word of the day and it means clay-like or clay-rich.

Do argillaceous formations make sense for high level radioactive waste disposal?

  1. I don't know if they make sense, but I do know that the burial system of the "cave" at Olkiluoto has bentonite as one of its defense-in-depth layers. It is also the potty material that our cat prefers, and it is very good at attracting and holding liquid and swelling up, after which it can be removed as large clumps.
