The "Creating A Major Scientific Controversy" Delusion

It's Christian Frank Turek promoting the latest IDiot book, Darwin's Doubt.

He says " In fact, paleontologists now think that roughly 20 of the 28 animal phyla (representing distinct animal “body plans”) found in the fossil record appear abruptly without ancestors in a dramatic geological event called the Cambrian Explosion."

Well if that is what paleontologists think (they don't), then the book would not be creating a major scientific controversy, it would only be stating what was already the consensus.

The reality is, there are plenty of fossils (most micro-fossils) found prior to the Cambrian explosion (an 80,000,000 year explosion...that's one slow designer!),

And where is that book on the NYT bestsellers list?  It should be under one of the Fiction sections but I didn't see it.

Frank, if this is causing such a major scientific controversy, why is the author speaking at a political right wing  rally instead of accepting a Nobel Prize?

Let's get frank, Frank.  This is just more anti-biology propaganda and it goes back to at least 1985, but we'll see it again as long as there are IDiots.
